Reliability	Applications are restarted automatically when hardware fails. Restart time is not provided. GoGrid has a "10,000%" reliability guarantee, however you must apply for the rebates and they may be denied.	Our cloud technology will typically restart a failed server's software on a new server within 5 minutes or 1 minute, depending on the service tier ordered. PrimaCloud offers a 10x monthly fee credit SLA guarantee for unplanned outages exceeding the offered SLA tiers of 99.95% (22 minutes per month) or 99.99% (30 seconds per month). PrimaCloud offers this rebate automatically because we monitor all hardware for downtime. All data stored in PrimaCloud's grid is RAIDed for redundancy: the chances of data loss are negligible. Additional backup services on request.
Security	If you want security, you will have to install a software firewall and maintain it yourself. Since security is applied at the server, DDOS attacks can paralyze your servers.	Active Intrusion Detection/ Intrusion Prevention firewalls with antivirus available to protect against hacking, viruses and DOS attacks. Multiple gigabit connections to the internet backbone mean DDOS attacks are absorbed by the firewalls, not your application. Highly secure VLAN management means your application is completely anonymous to other PrimaCloud customers. For maximum security, PrimaCloud service may be ordered as a Hosted Private Cloud with no resources shared with other customers.
Pricing	$0.19/GB-Hr with discounts for prepaid plans.	$0.19/GB-Hr (for equivalent service tier), with discounts for committed minimum usage levels over a term period or for prepayment. You don't have to pay in advance - ever! Automatic workload management can save you up to 80% over purchasing static resources by scaling your application automatically to match the load from users/customers.

Performance	GoGrid servers are limited to 8GB. The amount of CPU per server is not specified.	With PrimaCloud's cloud, you can expand from a fraction of a server to tens of servers, without changing your application or waiting days or weeks for an upgrade. Memory can be expanded to 16GB per instance, or beyond on request. You can choose how much CPU to allocate to each instance. Our high- performance quad and 8-core servers allow you to dedicate all the cores to a single application if you wish. Ultra high-speed interconnect architecture eliminates I/O wait bottlenecks for selected service tiers.
Storage	Storage is tied to instance size, included in price.	Storage is allocated independent of instance size. Use as much as you need, to 5TB and beyond, while paying only for what you use, with quantity discounts available. High performance SSD-backed storage is also available for serving transactional loads (additional charges may apply.)
Network	While GoGrid guarantees network performance, they limited to a single point of presence and cannot bring your application closer to your customers.	Multiple gigabit connections to multiple carriers ensure best-in-class network performance. Additionally, multiple points of presence let you locate your service close to your customers.
Compatibility	Specific architectural and security policies interfere with certain applications.	Close to perfect. Our cloud technology was designed to simulate a physical data center. The virtual servers in your VPDC function much like physical servers, but with more scalability and reliability. PrimaCloud does not restrict the type of network traffic in your VPDC.
Controllability	Self-service, except for network gateways/security, which must be set up on request.	Managed service for all VPDC setup/configuration ensures that your application runs right the first time. Root logins available to virtual servers in your VPDC. Operations management plans eliminate the need to log in or know anything about the server.

Load Balancing	GoGrid offers hardware load balancing.	Our cloud technology supports any software load balancer, for the ultimate in flexibility. Hardware load balancing available on request, including between data center locations.
Vendor Lock-In	GoGrid only, but VPDC paradigm promises ability to migrate to other data centers.	Our paradigm for delivering Cloud services as a VPDC means that your software can usually be run unchanged in PrimaCloud's cloud. This makes it easy to move them to other VPDCs or to a physical data center. Our focus on providing solutions based on industry standard technology means that your VPDC can be moved to another cloud or colocation using similar technology very easily by simply copying the server images. PrimaCloud's high-speed network allows for quick migration to or from us.
Support	24x7 Telephone and Web-based support for the GoGrid system, but not for your server configurations or application software. Consulting available on a per-incident/project basis.	You call the phone and we answer, with guaranteed service response times. Or use our web-based service portal. Our system admin experts take responsibility for your VPDC, servers and software, including full outsourced operations management if you need it – much like having a service plan for your car.
