Cost	You pay for the number of servers you lease, whether you use them or not. Per-server cost depends on server capability (RAM, CPU). You pay for the extra standby server needed to provide failover capability.	PrimaCloud charges based on resources used. Our charges are similar on a per-server basis to AppLogic providers, but your service is delivered from high-end servers. You do not pay for server resources you are not using, for the failover server, or for unused extra RAM and CPU, often resulting in significant savings. Quantity discounts are available. Our base charge is $0.25/GB-Hr, with significant discounts for committed minimum usage levels over a term period or for prepayment. You don't have to pay in advance - ever! Automatic workload management can save you up to 80% over purchasing static resources by scaling your application automatically to match the load from users/customers.
Billing	Grid is typically provided for a fixed amount on a one-year contract, billed in advance or paid on a monthly payment plan at higher cost. You pay for the entire grid even if you don't use all of it.	Because PrimaCloud charges based on resources used each month, our contracts only require a minimum usage commitment, with the first month paid in advance. Your monthly bill will depend on your actual usage.
Reliability	Full AppLogic automatic restart on hardware failure. No guarantee or SLA. You are responsible for administering your Grid, so providers cannot offer a comprehensive SLA because you could bring your own grid down. You control planned downtime.	Full automatic restart of your virtual servers on hardware failure, typically in 5 minutes. 10x SLA guarantee for unplanned outages exceeding the 15-minute max restart time, which comes to approximately 3.5 nines of reliability per year.
Speed	Depends on what kind of hardware you order for your Grid. Some providers use a 100mb/s frontside network which can restrict performance. Speed depends on the limitations of the hardware you have leased. Vendor Lock-In	Running applications including an entire VPDC can be moved to another AppLogic-based partner's data center with a single command. However, moving to non-AppLogic clouds or hosting is not automatic due to the AppLogic dependencies built into each virtual image.	PrimaCloud's high-speed network allows for quick migration to or from us. Our focus on providing solutions based on industry standard technology means that your VPDC can be moved to another cloud or colocation using similar technology very easily by simply copying the server images. Our AppLogic expertise means that we can easily move your VPDC to or from an AppLogic service provider.
